Mission Statement

Savannah Baptist Church will be a spiritual house of prayer whereby Saints and Sinners can worship through the Teaching and Preaching of God's word that will minister to the total man.

Our Goals

To witness in and outside our community sharing the word of God's love for us through his ultimate sacrifice of his son Jesus the Christ so that we can have an opportunity to eternal life in heaven when our journey on earth is complete.

We plan to grow our church membership by incorporating Christian values and principles into our multiple church services that are available along with additional church services we plan to implement.

Our children and young adults will be trained with these same biblical values through our Young Adult ministry (The Shepherd Ministry), Sunday School, Children's Time and other fellowship activities to become vessels unto the Lord.

That will give you a better understanding of a woman’s duty to God and the Church.

There are so many issues facing women today! This study will help you with answers.

The Shepherd Ministry Mission

The Shepherd Ministry is a Ministry of Savannah Baptist Church whereby young Singles and Couples can interact Socially and Spiritually in an environment that results in Spiritual Development leading to a more abundant life.

The ministry's name was chosen for a very specific reason. While we recognize that there are unique issues that singles and young couples face in our culture, the most significant relationship of any individuals life (single, married, divorced) is one's personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The name "Shepherd Ministry" was a suggestion from one of the members however it is also biblically based. When Jesus asked Simon Peter the question do you love me?...Jesus said if you love me feed my Sheep...."

So we call it The Shepherd Ministry, which by name does limit membership to a particular age group but is certainly targeting young Christian adults.
